Granite Estimating Software

A granite estimate needs more than a square-foot total. Use the drawing to identify every run, then review the selected stone and proposed layout before assigning a customer price. 2cm.ai supports a takeoff-to-quote workflow with shop-specific pricing for countertop work.

Work through a sample kitchen

  1. Measure: Record each run's length and depth, an island if present, and any backsplash. Confirm the drawing scale and field dimensions. Calculate area from the reviewed geometry, not an unverified upload.
  2. Plan material: Compare the pieces against actual slab dimensions, vein direction, seams, saw kerf, defects, and handling clearance. A square-foot total alone cannot determine how many slabs the job requires.
  3. Price fabrication: Count sink and cooktop cutouts, finished edge lengths by profile, polishing, and any waterfall or miter work. Add templating, delivery, removal, installation, and other applicable shop charges as separate items.
  4. Review: Check the proposed layout and allowances with an experienced estimator or installer. Record assumptions and exclusions before presenting the itemized quote.

Configure pricing to match your shop

Material costs, labor rates, minimum charges, and margin rules vary by shop and stone selection. Test your setup using a completed granite job and compare the draft against the final invoice and material used. Revise the estimate when the customer changes the edge, sink, or selected slab.
