Pricing: Can you configure material, waste allowances, edge lengths, cutouts, fabrication, installation, tax, and minimum charges? Can an estimator explain each line item?
Customer approval: What exactly does the customer see and sign? How are revisions and changes after approval recorded?
Production handoff: Which job details carry forward, and which must be entered again? Test a changed install date and a material substitution.
Integrations: Request a demonstration with the actual accounting, inventory, or machine workflow your shop uses. Ask about supported fields, sync direction, and errors.
Implementation: Ask who imports prices and active jobs, what training is included, how data can be exported, and what happens if you cancel.

Compare total cost with your own numbers

Document subscription, setup, training, payment processing, integration, and migration costs before estimating a payback period. Measure current time spent on a sample of quotes, then repeat the same jobs during a pilot.
